Daisuke Murakami Wins World Cup Halfpipe in Austria

CORRECTION Austria Snowboard World Cup_STP2191_MURAKAMI-DAISUKE[1]

A huge congratulations to Daisuke Murakami from the K2 Japan Team for taking his first place in a World Cup. He no doubt deserved this win and will take him a lot closer to the Olympics in one of the tightest competitions Japan has ever had. Daisuke’s Run consisted of a backside air, back-to-back 1080′s, and a backside 900. Killing it.

After his win Daisuke said: I’m very happy. It’s so nice that all the people showed up here and watch me riding the pipe. – Such a humble guy. Way to go Daisuke!

I love the holidays!

I just got back to the office with a slew of radical emails and even some presents…beats the hangover I gave myself for sure!

Here is one of the better cards in the mail sent from James “Captain Weirdo” Himself. James makes video magic for K2 and helps out on so many different fronts. He is the one without the beard and the glasses. Thanks James.Treemonster
