Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past month you know that K2 Snowboarding released a bangin web series in collaboration with Whistler and Snowboarder Magazine entitled Seek & Enjoy Sessions. Four edits were released along with a teaser and each edit provided a chance to win free Seek & Enjoy swag along with one grand prize for a free trip to Whistler during the 2014 season.
Well folks, Jeff Lujan has done it, he has been randomly selected out of the 350+ entries (through excel “=RAND” formula) as the lucky duck to visit Whistler on Whistler’s dime and he couldn’t be more stoked. The contest “I snowboard because…” presented tons of incredible feedback on why you all choose to snowboard. They’re inspiring to say the least and honestly remind us of our own situations here at K2.
Here’s what Jeff had to say, “I like the freedom, the cold air on my face and the crunch of the snow under my deck. I like the fact that there’s only myself to compete with, no one else. The mountain is my mistress and she tends to treat me well. But every now and then, she shows me what she’s capable of… And that’s fine with me. It comes with the territory.” Amen Jeff we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
K2 Snowboarding would like to thank Tourism Whistler for sharing their incredible piece of earth and Coast Blackcomb for their comfortable hospitality during the filming of the Seek & Enjoy Sessions. We had a blast and will be back for more in the near future.
Here it is the fourth and final episode of K2 Snowboarding’s Seek & Enjoy Sessions web series. As a whole this series has set a PLACE, Whistler, given a look into the PROCESS and the CREATIVITY that defines the life of a professional snowboarder and now it’s proper to simply focus on the GOOD TIMES that snowboarding is ultimately about.
We’re all blessed to even know what a snowboard is let alone strap in for the first time; to score epic conditions is a dream come true. What ever your define as “epic conditions” is precisely where you need to spend your time this season and be sure to do it often because we all know that life on a snowboard is the only way to live. Enter our online contest for an opportunity to win a free trip to Whistler in 2014.
Here’s to a bangin winter!

Don’t get me wrong professional snowboarders are pretty well hooked up in terms of traveling and snowboarding for their job but its not always endless pow fields or perfect street setups that keep these guys coming back. Sure that’s a huge part of it but every luxury can become stale if it becomes too available. It’s the less than world class days that keep us salivating for the chance of scoring perfect conditions the next time around. And it’s the less than perfect conditions that give way to the greatest amounts of creativity and many of the best stories.
In episode 3 of K2’s Seek & Enjoy Sessions Danny Larsen and Jordan Mendenhall get creative during the spring months Whistler has to offer. Sessions like these with your closest friends are what snowboarding is all about. It’s making the most of what you have and loving every second of it.
Remember to ENTER the Seek & Enjoy Sessions contest after watching episode 3 for a chance to win a free trip to Whistler in 2014.

December is a time to really be excited for snowboarding. Weather is officially turning on the way we like to see it and the holidays bring in some great vibes.
To help celebrate we’re throwing a Sketchy Art Party for everyone in the Seattle area on December 12th at The Piranha Shop. There will be drinks for the adults, live music from The Numbers Won, art on display featuring some of our top snowboard models of the year including the inspiration that helped form the final graphics. In addition we will have some snowboard templates on hand for anyone and everyone to sketch board concepts for a chance to be included in future k2 graphics.
Really this is just another party for snowboarding bringing together everyone who loves this lifestyle. Come and enjoy and bring your friends!
In the month of June last year Danny Larsen went out and created this video which depicts his style as a snowboarder, as an artist, photographer and now as a video editor. This is his home, Norway deep in the northern darkness infested with trolls and the like. EPIC.

Kyle Miller is from MANtana and it shows through his riding just watch him here in this edit he put together from last season. I’m not promoting gambling or anything but if I were to bet I’d put money on the fact that Kyle’s out hiking higher than anyone today finding snow. Get after it, Kyle!
