This morning Kyle Miller was featured on a Seattle, WA morning show speaking about snowboard mountaineering with the K2 Panoramic Splitboard.
A new documentary shines the spotlight on a unique winter sport. It’s called “splitboard mountaineering” and it uses a special board that can be used as a snowboard or split into skis as needed! Kyle Miller, a local splitboarding pioneer and the focus of the documentary called “FreeRider,” joined Margaret to talk about his love of the sport and the documentary. He also revealed a secret: he’s afraid of heights!
The FreeRider documentary will have its US premiere in Seattle on Friday, February 3 at 7:30pm, at the Mountaineers Program Center in Seattle. The event benefits the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center.

There’s nothing like some spring time splitboarding adventures in your local mountains. Enjoy this little video and get out on some mountain tops! -Tim
Yesterday was a glorious day of splitboarding, powder snow, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, beautiful scenery, oh and more powder snow. This is one of Tahoes many peaks that are easily accessible via splitboard(the best invention since pizza). Hope you enjoy this video of a most excellent day! -Tim
Splitboarding has changed my life. It’s the best invention since snow….oh and pizza. It turns snowboarding into even more of an adventure. It’s not all about the decent (although that will always be the best part), its about being outside in the mountains and soaking in mother natures finest. I’ve been splitboarding almost everyday for the past week and it just keeps getting better and better. There’s endless opportunities and a lifetime of self propelled slashin and bashin. You can literally do it from your front door…here’s a little video from my front door the other day. Enjoy -Tim Eddy
